The Job:
We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated User Experience / User Interface Product Designer to join our team. This role is all about creating thoughtful, user-friendly solutions that make a real difference for the people who rely on our in-house applications. As a key member of our team, you’ll collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and end users to improve and enhance our applications. You’ll be responsible for leading user research, designing mockups and prototypes, and ensuring that the final product delivers an exceptional user experience.
What You’ll Do:
- User Research:
- Lead user research, including interviews and focus groups, to understand user needs and gather insights.
- Observe users in their environment to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
- Mockups and Prototyping:
- Create low-to-high fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas.
- Develop prototypes to showcase proposed design solutions.
- Coordinate and lead user testing sessions with hospital employees to validate and refine designs.
- Define Solution and Implementation:
- Lead implementation kick-off meetings to ensure all stakeholders, developers, and testers understand and are aligned with the design goals.
- Provide clear, written guidance to software engineers to ensure the expected behavior and UI design are properly implemented.
- In-App Guidance:
- Identify areas within the application where in-app guidance can improve the user experience.
- Develop guide flows and content to support users as they interact with the application.
What You Need:
- 3-5 years of experience in UX/UI product design, specifically for browser-based applications.
- A creative, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting research findings and design solutions.
- Familiarity with design systems and an emphasis on efficiency in the design process.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, GitHub, Vimeo, Pendo, and Productboard.
