Job Overview
As a Senior Experience Designer, you will be at the forefront of shaping the user experience for Age of Learning’s diverse suite of educational products, including its widely recognized programs such as ABCmouse, Adventure Academy, and My Math Academy. This is a key role within the design team, where you will drive the creative process and work collaboratively with other teams (like Product, Marketing, and Engineering) to ensure that all design work aligns with the overall business strategy and enhances the user experience. The role involves strategic design thinking, crafting detailed user journeys, producing high-fidelity prototypes, and collaborating on large-scale design systems.
Your contributions will directly impact how children, parents, and educators interact with Age of Learning’s suite of educational tools, which have served over 50 million children worldwide. You will play a critical role in ensuring that the experiences you design are engaging, accessible, and valuable to users across different platforms and touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and Design User Flows: You will create detailed user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to bring design concepts to life. You’ll work from initial research all the way through to the final polished design.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: You will work closely with key stakeholders, including the marketing team, product managers, and other cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment on project objectives, brand guidelines, and audience needs. You will take part in brainstorming sessions, workshops, and strategic discussions.

- User Journey Optimization: A significant aspect of this role is focusing on user journey reactivation. You will help design targeted marketing campaigns, reactivation flows, and landing pages aimed at bringing back former users. This involves understanding the user's experience from cancellation to re-engagement and designing intuitive, seamless flows to encourage users to return.
- UX and UI Design: You’ll create UI assets and design systems that are both beautiful and functional. This includes everything from designing interfaces that are user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing to building scalable UI components that adhere to the design system.
- User Research and Testing: Conduct usability tests, observe user behavior, and use analytics to derive insights that will guide your design decisions. Your goal will be to make design decisions based on real user data and to continuously iterate on your designs to improve usability and engagement.
- Responsive and Mobile-First Design: As a senior designer, you will be expected to design with a mobile-first mindset, ensuring that your designs look great and function well across devices (iOS, Android, web).
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: As a senior designer, you will mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team. You’ll share your expertise with the team, provide feedback, and advocate for best practices in UX/UI design.
