Role Overview:
We are seeking a self-driven Product Designer specializing in productive stationery to help bring our vision to life through a collection of products including travel journals, Hijra planners, bullet journals for mothers, daily and weekly planners, calendars (with integrated Hijri and Gregorian dates), educational tools, and children’s books and games. This role requires a designer who can work autonomously, bringing a blend of creativity and discipline, transforming strategic direction from the founders into compelling, functional designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and prototype a range of stationery and educational products in line with brand values and customer needs.
- Conduct research to inform designs, developing wireframes and detailed mockups for each product.
- Source top-quality manufacturers and coordinate with production teams to ensure high standards of quality and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with internal design resources (graphic designer and art director) for cohesive visual alignment.
- Identify and bring in external expertise as required for specialized product features or production needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in product design, with a focus on stationery, productivity tools, and educational products.
- Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that translate ideas into tangible, impactful products.
- Strong experience in sourcing manufacturers and managing print production.
- Excellent attention to detail, a proactive approach, and strong teamwork skills.
- Adaptability to handle multiple projects concurrently and seamlessly switch between tasks as priorities shift.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising on quality or commitment.
- Familiarity with Muslim culture and the history of Al-Andalus is a plus.
Compensation:
