The Role
Reddit is looking for a Principal Product Designer to join the Ads UX team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in shaping the design strategy and user experience of Reddit’s Advertiser Platform. Your work will directly influence the tools advertisers and account managers use to create, manage, and analyze ad campaigns. You’ll drive the design of complex systems, introduce user-friendly features, and support the transition to AI-driven advertising tools.

You’ll own the design process end-to-end, mentor other designers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build tools that help brands connect effectively with Reddit’s global audience.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and drive the long-term design vision for Reddit’s ad platform, focusing on usability and efficiency.
  • Design intuitive tools for advertisers that simplify complex workflows.
  • Lead design projects from concept to delivery, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers to translate insights into smart, scalable solutions.
  • Guide and support junior designers through mentorship and feedback.
  • Stay updated on design and ad-tech trends, bringing new ideas to the table.
  • Advocate for user-centered thinking across the organization.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in UX/UI design, especially in web and enterprise-level platforms.
  • Strong background in advertising technology or designing ad management tools.
  • A portfolio that showcases strategic thinking, scalable systems, and impactful design work.
  • Experience leading design direction and collaborating across functions.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Passion for mentoring and fostering a collaborative design culture.
  • Proven track record of shaping product direction and launching successful products.

Compensation Range (Base Salary):
$223,600 – $313,000 USD
Final offers may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
